He was born in 1935 in Lloydminster, SK to newly landed Canadians, Fred and Annie Davison of Marwayne, AB. He moved to Calgary at the age of two when his father was diagnosed with tuberculosis. The parents remained there. Jim and his family moved in 1966 to work at Shell Waterton Gas Plant. He was an active United Church member. Jim was honoured in 2004 with the title of Citizen of the Year in Pincher Creek. He greeted friends and strangers alike with a cheerful ‘good morning’ no matter the time of day.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pincher Creek United Church. Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Windy Slopes Foundation (P.O. Box 2554, Pincher Creek, AB T0K 1W0) or to the Charity of One’s Choice in memory of Jim.
