Obituary of George Henry Clark Vinall
VINALL, George Henry Clark
1921 – 2019
Peacefully, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in his 98th year. Beloved husband of the late Leta. Loving father of Joan Vinall-Cox and her husband Jim, George and his wife Carol. Devoted Grandpa of Chris (Gillian), Sarah (Dragan) and Meryle. Great-grandpa will also be missed by Will, Abbey, Nikola and Luka. Dad had a full and happy life. After being in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, he was employed at the Canadian Vegetable Oil Processing Plant in Hamilton, ending his career there as the General Manager. A devoted Christian, a Baptist who attended St. John’s United Church when he moved to Trafalgar Lodge in Oakville, where he was much loved. Even during his final stint in the hospital, the staff told us how much they enjoyed his company. A wonderful father in our childhood, and very appreciative in our time together in his old age. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Courtland Baptist Cemetery. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
