It is with heavy hearts the family announces Donald’s passing in his 85th year, during a brief illness at the Kirkland & District Hospital on June 29th, 2019.
Donald was born in Kirkland Lake, June 13, 1934. He was a lifelong resident of Kirkland Lake area and worked in many local mines.
Donald was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed chatting about his experiences as a hard rock stope miner, fishing and hunting trip.
Donald was predeceased by his brothers Robert, Jimmy and Harry. He is survived by his sister Marion Pelland of Vermillion Bay.
He is also survived by his children Donald Jr. (Evelyn), Shelly (Rolland) St Jean, Mark Jensen, Chris Szack, Peter Szack and his extended family Debra (Paul) Techlowicz, Wendy Weeks and many nieces and nephews, grand children and great-grand children.
