Paula Y.’s Obituary
Paula Yvonne (Tardif) Luiken’s journey began April 30, 1950, the day she was born in McLennan (AB) to parents, Rita & Lucien Tardif. Paula lived her younger years in McLennan and Nampa. She later moved to Edmonton (AB) and then to Rainier, Washington. Paula passed away from this earthly life on July 21, 2019.
Paula had a great sense of humour. Other words that describe her are: determined, focused, stubborn, intelligent, handy, and organized. She was a teacher, farmer, successful business owner, creative woodworker, and overall handy-woman. She completed a 4-year degreee with a BA in Education. She enjoyed sports, woodworking, home projects, cooking and sewing. Paula’s greatest love and passion was and is the teachings of Ramtha. She devoted her life to being a student of the work.
Paula is pre-deceased by: Liliane Tardif (sister), Lucien Tardif (father), and Rita Tardif (mother), Ryan Naturkach (nephew). She is survived by her great friend, Norma; 1 daughter, Michelle Luiken-Knutsen (Eric); grandchildren, Willow, Xander and Michelle’s dad Sebus Luiken; 1 brother, Victor Tardif (Margaret); 4 sisters, Joanne (Louis) Maisonneuve, Rolande (Ernest) Johnson, Evelyne (Ed) Naturkach, and Joyce (Maurice) Labrecque; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service was held at the Yelm Cemetery, 11540 Cemetery Rd, Yelm, WA 98597, on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Charity of one’s choice.
Near the end of her journey here, she became like the caterpillar in a cocoon and emerged as a beautiful butterfly. She is free. She is loved. She will be missed. Her journey continues on the other side.
