Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019, Milton Layte, age 72.
Predeceased by his first wife Kathleen Layte (Nee Boyde) and his father Aaron Layte.
Left to mourn with loving memories are his Mother Florence Layte, wife Joy Layte (Nee-Mercer), daughters Darlene (Sylvain Roy) of Bonnyville, AB; Arleen (Jim Scharpegge) of Edmonton, AB; Charlene (Don Shugarue) of Moncton, NB; brothers Ronald (Dallas) of Birchy Bay, NL; Woodrow (Christine) of Birchy Bay, NL; Derrick (Debby) of Lewisporte, NL; sisters Doreen (Brooklyn White) of Newstead, NL; Betty Kelly (Brian Paterson) of Guelph, ON; Shirley (Winston Tulk) of Stoneville, NL; Mavis (Wallace Hart) of Guelph, ON; Kay (Jack Ayres) of Guelph, ON; Rosalyn Cooper of St. John’s, NL; Wanda (John Curlew) of Gander, NL; grandchildren Jessica, Mike, Tiffany, Kennedi, Madison, Colin, Danielle, Darryl, greatgrandchildren Kyla, Lauryn, Josie, Bridget, Brandon and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Family will be accepting friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home on Sunday, May 5th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place on Monday, May 6th at 2:00 P.M. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Gander. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Milton’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1037 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL. A1N 5E9.
