Earle ‘Sonny’ Mosher
1930-2019
Earle Chester “Sonny” Mosher, age 89, of Hillside,
formerly of Stellarton, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in the
Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by his family. Born June 14, 1930 in New
Glasgow, he was a son of the late George and Lillian (Johnstone)
Mosher. He worked in sales most of his life. He was an avid athlete
and participated in many sports. He was a member of the Pictou County
Sports Heritage Hall of Fame for hockey. He enjoyed dancing, fishing
and was a member of the Abercrombie Golf Club. He is survived by sons:
Butch (Verna); Ron (Sandra); grandchildren: Rick, Kari, Randy, Clint,
Mark, Neil, Shannon, Erica, Michelle and Matthew; 14
great-grandchildren; chosen granddaughter, Ava; special friend, Cathy
Nealis; fur baby, Angel. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita
(Fanning); son, David; stepfather, Arthur Taylor. Cremation has taken
place. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service for
family and close friends will be held at 2pm Sunday, July 21, in
Hillside Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Pictou
County SPCA or Aberdeen Palliative Care Society. Arrangements are
under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral
