Ronald “Ron”‘s Obituary
NEW GLASGOW – Ronald Burton “Ron” Elliott, 81, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in the Manor.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Frederick Burton and Gladys Evalena (Hicks) Elliott. Ron was a self-employed photographer for many years. He volunteered with Nova Scotia Ground Search and Rescue in Pictou and Halifax Counties. Ron enjoyed spending time in nature, fishing and hunting. He served on Riverside Cemetery Trust Company board for many years. Ron was a spiritual person and enjoyed the fellowship of many congregations throughout Pictou County.
Surviving are his daughter, Cathy (Robert) Francis, Pictou Landing; sister, Shirley (Tom) Caldwell, Abercrombie; brother, Rev. Robert “Bob” (Diane) Elliott, Bridgetown; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Douglas.
A family graveside service will be held in Abercrombie Cemetery.
