Gordon Gordie Powley July 4th 2019

December 11, 1927 – July 5, 2019
Gordon passed away peacefully at PV Manor, July 5, 2019, at the age of 91 years.
Gordon was born on December 11, 1927, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, the oldest of seven siblings ( Hazel, June, Edward, Roger, Mae, Grace) He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty. He was predeceased by his son, Ralph, and leaves behind his children; Sandra (Ron), Valerie (Chris), Vincent, Brenda (Ian), Keith, and Kevin, as well as his Step Children; Richard, Rosemary and Roberta, along with 19 Grandchildren and Step Grandchildren.
Gordon worked a number of jobs in his more than 45 years of employment. His work usually included trucks and cars in some way. He was best known for his Auto Mechanic skills. He would often be found under the hood of someone’s car and kicking tires with his buddies.
His love of music and in particular, his guitar, resulted in his family referring to him with the term “Cars & Guitars”.
A Memorial will be held Saturday, August 3, at 2:00 PM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 115 George Street, Highway 97, Enderby, BC.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the Staff at PV Manor, and Dr. Trayer for their excellent care, kindness and support in looking after Dad.
