Janice Ramboer 1947 2019

Obituary of Janice Ramboer
Ramboer, Janice Anne – After a lengthy battle with cancer, Janice has earned her Angel Wings and entered into eternal rest at her Highgate home surrounded by husband and family on Tuesday July 16, 2019. Born on October 4, 1947 to a Christian family, the daughter of the late Reginald (d. 1995) and Melba (d. 2003)(nee McLeod) Beecroft.
A loving wife of Dennis Ramboer for 39 years. Mother of Rob and wife Linda Rumble and Brent Rumble and partner Kristine Firth, all of Barrie. Adored grandmother to Tyler Rumble, Travis Rumble, Chad Rumble (Brittany Pais), Courtney Rumble (Sam Molnar), Cameron Rumble, Alicia Firth, Natalie Firth and chosen granddaughter Charlene Fisher. Great-grandmother to Jackson Rumble and Axl Molnar.
Sister of Dan (Lynn) Beecroft, the late Brian Beecroft, Warren (Annemarie) Beecroft, late Kevin Beecroft, and Cheryle Byrne. Sister-in-law of Dale (late Julie) Ramboer, late Dan (Linda) Ramboer, and her best friend Colleen Ramboer (late Charlie Vinter).
Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Janice will be dearly missed by her work family of 30 years from the Royal Bank in Ridgetown. Fondly remembered for her community involvement with the Highgate Fair, volunteer pie making at the Turin United Church, her musical Chimes group at Turin United Church (led by Beth Gladstone), and her chosen church family at the Bothwell Baptist Church. She was also a long-time volunteer at the Ridgetown Blood Donor Clinic, first donating blood, then helping as a clinic volunteer.
As a child, she was a tom boy at heart, did not play dolls, loved the outdoors, swimming at the gravel pit in Thamesville, playing catch, climbing in the barn, tobogganing, skating, and biking. Her mother always said, “If you can’t find Janice, look up in the old apple trees, she will be hanging by her knees.”
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East, Ridgetown on Friday July 19, 2019 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. The Funeral Service for Janice will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday July 20, at 11am. Burial to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
Donations in memory of Janice may be made to the Greenwood Cemetery Board, the Bothwell Baptist Church, Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Melanoma Society.
