BEWSKI: Michael passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Rideau Park Personal Care Home at the age of 86 years. Michael was born on July 19, 1932 in Ethelbert, MB to Sam and Nellie Bewski. In the Ethelbert area, Michael farmed, drove school bus for the Duck Mountain School Division, delivered mail on the Rural Route, served as a town council member, volunteered for the ambulance service and helped many around town with his electrical skills. Michael also sang in the church choir and was a member of the Ukrainian Vitriwka Choir. He was known for is deep love of animals, especially horses. Michael is survived by his wife Sylvia of Brandon, his sons Ken (Jennifer) of Winnipeg and Jeff of Brandon; his daughters Debra Roskam of Brandon, Sharon (John) Church of Shilo and Donna (Dennis) White of Cochrane, AB; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his sisters Mary Choptain of Dauphin and Emily Mandryk and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service for Michael will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Unit A1-800 Rosser Ave., Brandon, MB, R7A 6N5.
