See Foon Andy Woo 1936 2019

Obituary of See Foon “Andy” Woo
Andy passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 16, 1936 in Hoiping , Guang Jong, China. See Foon emigrated to Moose Jaw, SK in 1969. On August 26, 1971, he married So Kai (Susanne) in Hong Kong and then started their life together in Moose Jaw in November 1971. They welcomed their first daughter, Shirley in 1972. They expanded their family in 1973 and 1976 with two more daughters, Mayleen and Margaret, and finally in 1978 with their son William. See Foon was a very hard-working man who had successful partnerships in the Silver Dragon and Oriental Palace restaurants. He often worked six days of the week but on his days off he took great pleasure in home “renovations” and creations, earning him the nickname “Handy Andy” from his children. See Foon loved nature and wildlife. In retirement he enjoyed daily walks through Crescent Park and Wakamow Valley Park. A memorable time with nature for See Foon was climbing Sulphur Mountain in Banff National Park with his children. One of the things See Foon cherished the most was his family, and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife and children, his mother-in-law, his two sisters and numerous nephews and nieces. A Funeral Service will be held for See Foon at Jones Funeral Home, 106 Athabasca St. East on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. In living memory of See Foon, a memorial tree planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services.
