Mary Jane passed away surrounded by all her children at the Kemptville District Hospital on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the age of 77 years. Loving wife of the late Leonard Hackett. Predeceased by her parents Eric and Grace Botten. Beloved mother of Jamie Hackett (Pam Fraser), Carie Hackett-Sparling (Steve Sparling) and Laurie Hackett. Cherished grandmother of Dwayne Hackett (Shawna) and Devontay Hackett, Kayla and Ryan Charles and great-grandmother to Deshawn Jahreem Hackett. Mary Jane will be sadly missed by many close and dear friends. A special thank you to the staff of the Kemptville District Hospital, Oncology Department of the Ottawa Hospital, Dr. Tania Zakhem and the Beth Donovan Hospice. Family and friends are invited to visit the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 10 am to 12 noon. A Celebration of Mary Jane’s Life will be held in the Chapel at 12 noon, followed by a reception in Kemptville Chapel Reception Centre. Donations may be made to the Beth Donovan Hospice.
