John McPhee March 13 1953 July 12 2019 (age 66)

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of John McPhee. John was born on March 13th, 1953 in Miramichi, NB. He is predeceased by his mother, Mary McPhee. John will be remembered as a very kind and compassionate man. Everyone he met instantly became a “McPhee” and was greeted with a gentle hug and pat on the back.
He was a man full of love. He revelled in the delightful sounds of toy fire trucks, trains, and The Beatles. He loved bowling, shopping at the Dollar Store, beans & wieners, volcanoes, record players, his guitar, and his radio. John was a collector! He was always carrying a bag of knick knacks that he had accumulated over time. He found such joy in the beautiful simplicity of post cards from around the world, playing cards, photos, and journals that held the signatures of the people he had met and loved wholeheartedly.
John touched so many people’s lives and he will be greatly missed by his Centracare family of fellow clients and staff. We will all miss hearing The Beatles being played full blast in the hallway and his warm welcoming “Hello, friend” or hilarious “bird feathers” greetings.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 16th at 2pm from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances to Canadian Mental Health would be appreciated.
