It is with heavy hearts but loving memories the family of the late Marion (Manny) Georgina Deredin announces her passing on July 10, 2019 at the Dr. Georges L Dumont Hospital at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 21, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Wedge) Trevors and wife to her late husband, Wilbur Joseph Deredin.
Her love and compassion were evident, when at an early age, and with open arms she became a mother to 4 small girls and later gifted them with 2 little brothers.
Family was her life’s greatest blessing and was felt by all who knew her.
She always looked forward to visits, get-togethers, games, cards, laughter and teasing. She was always someone’s “favourite Aunt” and the “best Nanny” ever, where a visit always put a smile on your face and lightened your heart.
She was a very proud member of the Chatham Legion Branch #3 and had a special place in her heart for the veterans and the principles of the Canadian Legion, where she made many life- long friends and became an avid sportsperson with bowling and darts.
Marion (Manny) leaves behind her 4 daughters Mary Bernard (Jim), Judy, Jeannie (Denis), Dawn Marie Robichaud (Stephen), 2 sons Wilbur (Junior) and Craig, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Her brothers Raymond Trevors (Hazel), Mervin Trevors (the late Velma), Arnold Trevors (the late Mary), Edward Trevors (Diane) and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Margaret Deredin, Jean Malley and brothers Walter, Kenny, Sterling and Arthur.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chatham Legion Branch #3 building fund.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Marion Manny Georgina Deredin 10 Jul 2019..
