Suddenly, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Nicole Rheault. Loving father of Hélène Nadon (Guy) and David Jr. (Aline). Grandfather of Mathieu (Amanda), Alain (Jessyka), François Côté, Mélanie, Mireille, Amy and Alice. Great-grandfather of Nicholas, Kayla, Cédéric, Gabriel, Adrien, Alexis, Danika and Emma-Jean. Survived by his sibling-in-laws Francine (Normand), Réjean (Céline), Martin and Daniel. Predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Onésima Roy, his sisters; Imelda, Marie-Anne, Mérilda, Aurore and Lucille, and by his brothers Daniel, Aimé, Ubald, and Hervé. Fondly remembered by his special nephew Yvon Cyr, and by many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including those who joined him at the Perth Civitan hall for Bingo every Wednesday night, and neighbours from the Tay River Tent & Trailer Park. David was a very hard working man, always having at least two jobs. The most of which he enjoyed was being a long time employee for the City of Ottawa, and a tree surgeon. Gardening was his favourite Hobby and he loved it dearly. Friends may pay their respects at the Saint Isidore Roman Catholic Parish, 1135 March Road, Kanata on Saturday, July 20th, 2019 from 1:00pm until time of Mass at 2:30pm. Interment to follow at Saint Isidore Catholic Cemetery. In remembrance of David, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated.
