1921-2019
With her family by her side, Vera Josephine Ruff of Oxbow, NB, passed
away peacefully at the Tobique Valley Manor on July 10, 2019.
Vera was born in Birmingham, England on June 5, 1921. She was the
daughter of the late Harold and Maude (Dauncey) Dearn. Vera leave
behind her daughters, Bernice Arsenault (Joe) of Blue Bell, NB, Elaine
Martin (Wayne) of Calgary, AB, Valeria Corcoran (Tom) of Sisson Brook,
NB, Frances Diamond (Steven) of Burntland Brook, NB, Marilyn MacBean
(Randy) of Sisson Brook, NB; her sons, Monty Ruff (Linda) of Oxbow,
NB, Michael Ruff (Gwen) of Blue Bell, NB, Daniel Ruff (Connie) of
Grand Prairie, AB, and Christopher Ruff (Goldie) of Hampton, NB. Vera
is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Vera was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Burney Ruff; her
daughter, Diane Baker; her son, Jack Ruff; and her sister, Patricia
Bliss.
Vera was a War Bride and a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion
Ladies Auxiliary, Branch # 29.
Resting at the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock, NB with visitation on
Monday from 6-8 pm. In keeping with the family’s wishes, the funeral
service will be private. Pastor D.R. McKillop officiating. Interment
will be in Burntland Brook Cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Burntland Brook Cemetery
or the Tobique Valley Manor would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
