Reginald William Fickling, age 65 of Stratford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Born in London, Ontario, son of Robert Fickling of Clinton and the late Mary (Mihlik) Fickling.
Beloved husband for 46 years of Cheryl (Kelterborn). Loving father of Amanda Fickling (Jeff Bramham) and Joseph Fickling (Gwen Noble). Grandfather of Zach, Tyler, Riley, Cayden, Maddilen, Ellie and Charlie. Brother of Theresa Fickling (deceased) and Robert Fickling. Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Connie Goetz (David), Kerry Kelterborn (Doreen), Rhonda Westman, his mother-in-law Joyce Westman and many loved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father-in-law Robert Kelterborn. Reg worked at Mutual Life of Canada until his retirement and was a proud and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 16,242 days.
Visitation at Avondale United Church, 194 Avondale Avenue, Stratford on Friday, July 12, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Avondale United Church on Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery.
