Sean Bliss Martin Purnell O’Connell
It is with great sadness and
heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet boy, Sean Bliss
Martin Purnell O’Connell, in the early morning of July
7th, 2019 at the age of only 4 and a half. He
left us unexpectedly but peacefully during his sleep and has
gained his angel wings. We find comfort in knowing he is running
around and dancing in Heaven and free of all his
pain.
During his short life, Sean
proved to everyone that he was a fighter. His beautiful smile was
contagious and could light up any room. He brought joy to many and
warmed many hearts.
Sean will always be remembered
by his parents, Tiffany Purnell and Dylan O’Connell, his
little sister, Alice, grand-parents, Rachelle Couture (Robert) , Scott
Purnell (Theresa) and Tammy O’Connell & Bliss Urquart, great
grand-parents, Caroline & Martin Couture, and Elita
Lavigne, his godparents Austin Couture and April LeBlanc, many aunts
and uncles, several cousins and many family
friends.
Sean was predeceased by his
great grandfather, Grampa Edmond Bernard, who the family consider to
be his guardian Angel with whom he is now
united.
The family wishes to thank Dr.
Blaney who believed Sean was a fighter and never gave up on him the
day he was born. Many thanks go out to the Stan Cassidy Centre for
Rehabilitation’s Paediatric Team, led by his physiatrist Dr.
Leckey and his Occupational Therapist, Krista Fraser, for the
excellent care, support and guidance they provided. Special thanks
also go out to Stephanie Babin, his respite worker, who spent quality
time with Sean every week and lent Tiffany a helping hand. The family
is grateful for all who were involved in Sean’s care and who supported
them throughout his journey.
There will be no visitation,
however a private service will be held between family and close
friends.
Arrangements under the
professional guidance of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995).
For those who wish, in lieu of
flowers, the family would be appreciative of a donation to the Stan
Cassidy Foundation’s Bikes and Trikes program in
Sean’s memory. Online condolences for the family may be
shared on Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or at
