With grief and gratitude we announce Ed’s death, July 4, 2019. As per Ed’s prayer, God called this kind, gentle soul from his bed at home, with loved ones around him.
Ed is mourned by his beloved wife Frances; children, Paul (Danielle), Marie (Aurel) Ulliac, Mark and Colleen; loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and devoted caregiver Melanie Paqueo.
Having grown up in Regina, Saskatchewan, Ed returned there as a WWll veteran in 1945. Soon after, he met and married Frances Cavanagh, who was to be his beloved companion for the next 70 years. They raised 4 children in Edmonton, where Ed worked for Imperial Oil. He was a Systems Analyst with the company’s first IBM computers!
Ed was a wise, generous, faith filled man who loved helping anyone in need.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday July 12, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9830-148 street, Edmonton. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
If desired, donations in Ed’s memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital, c/o Covenant Foundation, where daughter Colleen lives.
