The family of Sylvia Warner (Gledhill) announces her peaceful passing which occurred Sunday June 02, 2019 at the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home. Sylvia was born Oct. 02, 1938 in Glace Bay, NS to the late Joseph and Gladys (Grant) Gledhill. Sylvia was blessed with a warm and generous heart, best evidenced by her many years of volunteering at Sunday school, nursery school and with the Girl Guides of Canada.
She is survived by her sons James (Kathy) of Maple Ridge, BC and Don (Jacqueline) of Saint John, NB; daughters Alison (Ceri) of Vancouver, BC and Sandra (Luke) MacMaster of Quispamsis, NB and; brother Joseph (Marilyn) Gledhill of Halifax, NS; sister Dorothy McKay of Kingston, ON; her grandchildren Joseph and Adam whom she adored; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Gloria, Marjorie and Elsie; nieces Patti and Lynn and nephews Joe and David.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. At her request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, June 07, 2019.
For those who wish, donations in her memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the IWK Health Centre.
