Passed away peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by her family on June 17 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her loving husband William (Bill) of 54 years (2005). Cherished mother of Dianne (previously Hurren) (Paul DuWors), Leslie (Rory Gardiner) and Steve (Lynn). Much loved grandmother of Bryan and Michael (Hurren), Rory and Lyndsay (Gardiner) and Denver (Agnew). Great grandmother to Marion Elizabeth and Edison (Hurren) Bennett and Levi (Gardiner) and Francis and Rae (Fox). Marion was the daughter of Edythe (Hill) and George Nelles Young and sister to Kenneth G. Young (1983). Born in London, Ontario, Marion and Bill moved to Ottawa in 1954 and were proud owners of Craig Construction Equipment Limited for close to 50 years. Marion was a long time member of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club. She enjoyed travel and spending winters in Florida. Marion will be dearly missed and always loved by her family. A private family service was held at the Pinecrest Cemetery. The family would like to thank St. Patrick’s Home for their compassionate and professional care. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa, 2865 Riverside Dr, Ottawa, ON K1V 6M7 would be appreciated.
