Stone, Susan Margaret (nee Sangster)
With great sadness we announce that Margaret passed away at Almonte Country Haven on Saturday, June 22, 2019 aged 79. Beloved wife for 51 years to Roger Stone. Loving mother of Chris (Monique) and Peter. Proud grandmother of Lily, Rory, Matthew and Samantha. Dear sister of Carolyn and Charlie (Florence). Predeceased by brothers George and Jimmy (Sylvia).
Margaret had a long teaching career in Quebec and Ontario, in public schools and in institutions for children with special needs. She was for 21 years Director of Studies and teacher at Venta Preparatory School, Carp. She loved and was loved by students and colleagues alike. Margaret did much volunteer work all her life, and was active in her Anglican church.
Friends may pay their respects at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes. 115 Rivington Street, Carp, on Thursday, June 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral is at St. James Anglican Church, 3774 Carp Road, Carp on Friday, June 28, at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
