The family of the late John McLean of Loggieville would like to announce his passing at the age of 71. John passed away at his residence at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness.
John was born on March 13, 1948 and passed on Thursday June 20, 2019; He was the son of the late John & Harriet (Martin) McLean. John had many hobbies that he enjoyed doing, like fishing, hunting, Nature walks to name a few.
He was previous employed at N.B. Power in his late twenties. He also helped friends fishing gaspereau and helped out doing carpentry.
He is survived by his long time friend Olive Savoy, sisters: Edith MacDonald (Bill) of Loggieville, Lottie McLenaghan (Robert) of Chatham, Muriel Ashford of Napan, Dorothy Martin (Gerald) of St Louis, Lisa Dutcher of Loggieville, May Hollier (Bradley) of White Rapids, Brothers: David McLean (Linda) of Loggieville, Lee McLean, Tommy McLean (Wendy) and Robert McLean all of Chatham. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Doreen McLean of Toronto and by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brother Roy McLean and Kenny McLean, sisters: Diane McFadden, Linda Gray, and Jennette McLean.
John McLean is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi, N.B. on Monday June 24, 2019 from 6 pm – 9 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated at 2 pm on Tuesday June 25, 2019 at St Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church with Fr John Fraser officiating. AS an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi, N.B.
