With heavy hearts, the family of Jamie Briggs announces his passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 23rd, 2019. Jamie was born in Saint John on March 27, 1973; a son of the late Joseph and Louise (Coughlan) Briggs, and the loving husband of Teri (Lynch) Briggs. Jamie was a proud Irving Oil employee for over 20 years, working as a Dispatcher. He grew up playing ball hockey at the Carleton Community Centre, and loved poker, golf, travelling, spending time with friends, and above all, being with his family. Jamie was a devoted Pittsburgh Penguins fan. Along with his wife Teri, Jamie is survived by his daughter and apple of his eye, Taylor, brother Joseph (Brenda), aunt Wendy Coughlan, nephew Corey (Shantel), niece Shae-Lynn (Brendan, and their daughter Kinsley), his many cousins in the USA, and his long time best friends Mike and Roxanne Beck. Also mourning his loss are his mother and father-in-law, Lorraine and Larry Lynch, and brother-in-law Jason (Melissa, and their daughters Jessica and Carly). Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Mental Health would be greatly appreciated.
