Gerald John Lantz, age 65, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on June 18, 2019.
Born in Stratford, May 30, 1954, son of Ruth Lantz (nee Schneider) and the late Floyd Lantz. Beloved husband for 37 years of Linda (Skelton). Loving father of Matthew (Marilyn) and Adam. Grandfather of Natasha and Hunter. Brother of Lorne Lantz (Irene), Walter Lantz (Sherry) and Edward Lantz. Also survived by brothers-in-law Harvey, Robert and George Skelton and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Gerald worked at Crane Canada until his retirement. He was an active member of Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford. In retirement he enjoyed travelling to local festivals, participating at The Local and helping others.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, June 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
