1941-2019
SCHRADER, George William
Frederick – Age 77 of Canso passed away peacefully on
Sunday, June 2, 2019 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital,
Antigonish. Born on June 27, 1941, he was the son of the
late David Schrader and Amanda
(Snyder) Schrader/Richardson.
He is survived by his sister, Nora
(Schrader) Martin, Canso; his four
daughters, Judith, Lake Charlotte; Tracy and Shelley, both of Truro
and Deborah, Little Dover. Stepchildren, John, Canso; and
Carol Anne, Owlshead; 7 Grandchildren and 6
Great-Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Jean
(Borden), brother, Herman “Spud”; sister, Mary; and a sister
in infancy.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to
his special friend, Agnes Hawco for all her love and care.
As per George’s wishes there will be no visitation or
service. Burial will take place in The Star of The Sea Roman
Catholic Church Parish Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of
flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
or the Palliative Care Unit of St. Martha’s Regional
Hospital, Antigonish. Cremation has taken
place.
