Power, Ellen “Babe” (nee Hammond): It is with great sadness that we announce that Ellen “Babe” Power, mother grandmother & sister passed away peacefully with quiet grace at Labrador West Health Center, (Labrador City, Nl) on December 9, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Babe was predeceased by her husband Bill, parents: William Hammond & Kathleen (Dwyer), sister Carol Ann & brother Peter. She leaves to mourn her daughters: Evelyn (Michael), Cathy (Wally), Mary (Vince), sons: Billy (Michelle) & George (Chris), brothers: Ray, Gerard (Annette) & Tony (Leona) & sister in-law Joan Hammond. She will be sadly missed by 15 grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces & nephews. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment of Christian Burial will take place on July 8, 2019 at 3 pm from Holy Cross Cemetery, Holyrood, NL. The Power family would like to extend our appreciation & thanks for the kindness & support we received form our many friends. We would like to send a personal thank you to the wonderful staff both at William Osler Brampton Civic Hospital especially Dr. Davey & to the staff of Labrador West Health Center for their excellent care & compassion.
