Donna’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the families of Donna Marie Mitchell announce her sudden passing at her family residence on Monday, June 17th, 2019, at the age of 65 years.
Donna was born in Port Hope Simpson to Pastor Donald & Abigail Kearley on April 25th, 1954. On April 21st, 1973, she devoted her life to Jack Mitchell of Middle Arm. During their 46 years of a marriage they shared in the joy of three precious children Sheri-Lynn (Grant) Noble, Shantelle (Shawn) Watkins, and Jeremy (Adrienne). She would later become a wonderful grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren; Gerad, Geneiva, Gulia, Selah, Everleigh, Zyra, and Willow, her great grandchildren; Judah, Ezra, and Haven, her siblings; Melvin (Florence) Burden, Carl (Ella) Burden, Roy (Judy) Kearley, and Loretta (Roy) Hill, her brothers-in-law; Agustus (Neta) Mitchell, Lorne (Gleason) Mitchell, Gordon (Myrtis) Mitchell, and Eugene (Chloe) Mitchell, her sisters-in-law; Cassie (Max) Dicks, Pheobe (Rayfield) Rideout, Palma (Chester) Saunders, and Sylvia Eddy. Donna was predeceased by her parents; Abigail & Donald Kearley, her-in-laws; Emma & Eleazer Mitchell, sisters-in-law; Dulcie Burden, Nina Burden, Maisie Mitchell, her nephew; Aubrey Mitchell, niece; Kathy Stirling, and loving friend; Janice Pardy Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and many friends who are too numerous to list.
Donna and Jack’s home anywhere across Canada and especially in Cormack was filled with joy and laughter where many friends cherished their hospitality and love for the lord. Donna was not only a mother to her two daughters but became best friends with Sheri-Lynn and Shantelle. She was Jeremy’s biggest fan and prayer warrior. Donna was a beloved bus driver, happily driving children for over 29 years. Donna enjoyed long skidoo rides, boat rides, Dunlop boots, and pajama pants (sarcasm). Her sense of humor and wonderful heart will last until her loved ones meet with her again in paradise. She invested into children’s lives and showed the love of Jesus too many. Donna held Willow dear to her heart and treated her as her own grandchild. Donna sincerely enjoyed every moment with her grandchildren, especially Selah, who she spent much time and made many memories with. Donna cherished her special bond with Selah and instilled in her the importance of loving and trusting Jesus.
