Sunday June 9th ,2019 . Born in Framingham
Mass. She was a daughter of Colin Bernard and the
late Suzanna (Toney) Bernard.
Brenda
lived most of her life in Pictou Landing First Nation. She was a
member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church .
Brenda worked as a home care worker . She
enjoyed doing crafts such as beadwork and stain
glass , Brenda also liked going for
walks.
Surviving
are her father Colin Bernard of Pictou Landing First
Nation sons ; Brandon Bernard (Kitpu) , Colin Paul
(Raylene Nicholas) ,Phillip Paul (Aleesha Jewel) ,Corey Paul (Sam
Bruhm) all of Pictou Landing First Nation. Grandchildren ; Ocean
,Zander ,Ira ,Colin ,Jij , godchild Eliah Denny
chosen grandchildren Bradley Johnson and Lucas
Bernard.
Brothers and sisters; Bridget (Dennis)
Worthen , Allen Bernard ,Douglas Bernard , Valerie Bernard ,Darren
Bernard ( Myra Francis ) , Wallace Toney , Sylvia Bernard (Gary
Denny) all of Pictou County First Nation . Several aunts
, uncles ,nieces , nephews and
cousins.
She was
predeceased by her mother Suzanna Bernard , a sister Joyce and brother
Brian.
Her
remains will rest at 2 Beach Rd. Pictou Landing First Nation for
visitation after 7 P.M. on Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will
take place on Saturday at 11 A.M. from Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom MacNeil officiating. Burial will
be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. Donations in memory of
Brenda may be made to MADD. Online condolences may be sent
