Four weeks shy of her
95th birthday, Irene has left us
to be re-united with her belated husband and loving mother. After a
long and courageous battle with Alzheimer disease, Irene passed away
peacefully Thursday May 30th at the Valley View Villa,
surrounded by her loving daughter, son-in-law and
granddaughter.
Born on June 25,1924, at the Inverness Hospital,
Irene was the daughter of the late Fred and Rose (Glawson) Taylor. She
is survived by her children, Ann (Hilton) Moore and Hugh (Damaris)
Letcher, amazing grandchildren Dan Moore, Kelly (Troy) Reid, Darryl
(Allie) Moore and Britani
Letcher, great grand-children Mackenzie, Kaila, Jenna
Reid, Matthew and Maeve Moore, daughter-in-law Teri Gonzalez, special
sister-in-law Shirley (Claude) Ramsay, special friends Helen and Lee
Boudreau, siblings Earl (Peral), Fred, Shirley (John) Taylor, Audrey
Timmons, sister-in-law Betty Romard, brother-in-law Walter (Phillis)
Letcher as well as nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years
Dan, and her companion John MacDonald, siblings Hugh, James, Charles,
Wallace, Grace and Lillian.
Irene always took pride in the way she dressed and
loved to bake, decorate and sew. She will forever be known for her
passion to play cards and to search out a great deal while
shopping.
Cremation has taken place and
visitation will be held on Sunday June
9th, between 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8
PM at H.W. Angus Funeral home. Funeral service will be held on,
Monday, June 10th, at 3 PM at Angus Chapel. A
reception will follow the service in the funeral
home.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks
and gratitude to all the staff at the Valley View Villa for the love
and kindness they have shown towards Irene and Ann for the past 6
years.
