James “Jimmy”‘s Obituary
MacDonald, James “Jimmy” Henry – 65, Oxford, passed away at home on Saturday, June 1st, 2019. Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Frances (MacKinnon) and Henry MacDonald. Jimmy worked for moving companies for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Josephine; daughter, Pamela MacDonald (Walter Courtney), Lake Echo; son, Kevin MacDonald (Michelle), Eastern Passage; grandchildren, Kayla Courtney and Sullivan MacDonald; brothers, Sandy MacDonald (Patricia), Dominion; Billy MacDonald (Debby), Nanaimo, BC; sisters, Josita MacDonald, Stanford, Connecticut; Patricia Balcom (Kenny), Sheet Harbour; Lexine Laufer (Emanuel), Halifax. He was predeceased by sister, Goretti O’Brien; brother-in-law, Kevin O’Brien; nephew, Derek O’Brien. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday, June 3 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (902-447-2930). Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 in Church of the Nazarene, Oxford.
