Obituary of Joe MacDonald
John Joseph MacDonald, 73, Southside Harbour, Antigonish Co., passed away at home on June 5, 2019. Born in Antigonish he was the son of the late John Angus and Margaret Anne MacDonald. Joe, as he was always called, was a life time resident of the Harbour. He was raised and died on the farm which has been in the family for over 200 years. He looked forward each summer to the visits from his family ” from away”. He is survived by sisters Colette MacDonald, Antigonish; Christina (David) Smith, Oakville, Ontario; Annabelle MacDonald, Toronto; Nephews Sean (Kim) Smith and their children: Laura and Megan; and Brian (Wendy) Smith and their children Kyla and Dylan. He was predeceased by a sister, Catherine. He has been cremated. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held on July 13, 2019 at 11:00 am in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet. Burial in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.MacIsaacs.ca
