Obituary for
M. Doreen Simpson
Marilyn “Doreen” Simpson – 73, Masstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at home.
Doreen was the daughter of the late Edward and Ivy (Mosher) Barley.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Bill; son, Darren, at home; daughters, Marilyn Joan “Buffy” Warcop (Donnie), Hartland, N.B., Marie Fisher (John), Amherst; grandchildren, Krista, Kelsey (Matt), Stephen, Nathan; great grandson, Lincoln James; brothers, Dave Barley (Dot), Moncton, N.B., Gary Barley (Janet), Moncton, N.B., Reg Barley, Masstown, Doug Barley (Connie), Debert; several nieces and nephews; her furry friend “Baby Girl”.
She was a loving homemaker, mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all of her family, friends and all her knew her. Doreen enjoyed communicating with her family and friends whether that be by texting, phone calls or on her computer. Flowers also brought her great joy.
A special thank you to Dr. Henderson, VON and the Palliative Care team for their exceptional care and support.
Cremation has taken place with no visitation or funeral service by request. Interment at a later date in Masstown Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Doreen’s memory may be made to Diabetes Canada, or to VON Palliative Care.
