McLachlan, William Bruce
Bruce peacefully passed away at home in Kingston, on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at the age of 83. Bruce, loving husband of 52 years to Patricia (Sanders). He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Susan (Shawn O’Hearn), Linda (Derek Reavie), and Allison (Scott Knox) and by his grandchildren Regan, Molly, Leah, Adam, William, Cameron and Cooper. Bruce was predeceased by his parents Cicely and William Clarence (Mac) McLachlan, and will be sadly missed by his relatives and many friends. Bruce had many passions throughout his lifetime, including his love of music, playing the banjo, anything to do with his home town of Montreal and most of all the love for his family.
In keeping with Bruce’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the James Reid Funeral Home, Reception and Celebration Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd., entering from the rear parking lot doors). As expressions of sympathy, donations in Bruce’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
