William (Bill) Lawrence Enouy
October 24, 1946 – May 24, 2019
It is with sadness that the Enouy family announces the passing of Bill at the Kirkland Lake and District Hospital with his family by his side. Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years Lynda (Tait), his son Drew, and his brother Dave. Also left to mourn him are his sister in law Sandra Schmidt (Brian), brother in law John Tait, and his niece and nephews Joey, Gavin, Megan (Alan), Robert, and Christopher.
Bill will be remembered for his intense dedication to Kirkland Lake through his seven terms on town council, four of those as Mayor. His volunteer work as one of Kirkland Lake’s finest, fiercest, and funniest hockey coaches made him beloved in Kirkland Lake and respected across Ontario. Also known to many as an intense fastball player and coach. Bill spent over 30 years as an elementary school teacher mostly at King George Public School.
Bill had one of the sharpest wit’s and was always the funniest person in any room that he walked into. He loved everything about this small town that he called home and was always battling to make it the best it could be. He believed in working together and trusting people to do the job.
The family would like to thank all of our friends, the staff at KDH, French Family Funeral Home, Emilie Chamaillard, Leona Connelly and the many people who have reached out to send their love or to share a treasured memory.
