Wilbert Eldin Young Bud 2019

August 17, 1928 – May 13, 2019
On Monday, May 13, 2019, Bud passed away peacefully in Edmonton at the age of 90. He is loving remembered by his wife Elizabeth of 65 years; son Larry; brother Stanley (Donna); 3 grandchildren (Shelley, Connie, Cheyenne) and 4 great grandchildren (Heath, Haden, Alexie, Aurorah). He was predeceased by his mother Ruby Bray, step-father Andrew Bray and four brothers Dennis, Melvin, Gordon & Sandy.
Bud will be fondly remembered for his love for and commitment to his family. His second love was trucking (lifelong career) where he made several long lasting friends. We hope he has found peace and comfort meeting up with family members, old friends and fellow truckers in heaven.
The family extends thanks to the staff at Misericordia Hospital, Jasper Place Continuing Care and Benevolence Care Centre for Bud’s care and support. Our gratitude to Debra Harrison for her dedicated role in Bud’s personal care.
In keeping with Bud’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a service celebrating his life will be held on May 25, 2019 at 1:00 at the High Park Community Center, 11032 – 154 Street, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or charity of your choice.
