Peacefully, at Central Place Retirement Community, Owen Sound, on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Vera Winnifred Ries (nee Lauder), formerly of Markdale, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of Reginald Robert Ries for 73 years. Dear mother of Steven (Teresa), Craig (Michael) and Carolyn (Linnae).
Cherished grandmother of Benjamin (Naomi), Fiona, Holly, Aaron and Laura. Predeceased by her parents Wilby Cameron and Eva Mary (nee Blyth) Lauder, brother Ross, infant sister Mary and sister Jean.
A memorial service will be held at the May Funeral Home, Markdale, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at the Markdale Cemetery followed by a reception.
