The passing of Vera Irene Munn of Fredericton, NB, wife of Cecil Munn occurred on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 8, 1947 in Taxis River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle (Stewart) Munn. Vera was an Aid in the Operating Room at the Oromocto Public Hospital, she had previously worked in housekeeping at the hospital; she also managed apartment buildings with her husband, Cecil and worked as a homecare worker for various employers. Vera was a member of the Chipman Fundamental Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Vera is survived by her sons, James Munn (Gwen) of Elgin, NB and Jeff Munn (Beverley) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Kristi Coffin (Mike), Melissa McGrath (Shane), Kaiti Munn (Pat) and David Munn (Lauren); great granddaughter, Lucy; sisters, June McKay (Arnold) of Creston, BC, Marilyn Munn (Stafford) of Taxis River, NB, Susan Norrad, Mary Lou Norrad (Weldon) and Marlene Sewell (Derrick) all of Taxis River, NB; brothers, Gary Munn (Vivian) of Hayesville, NB and Rick Munn (Pat) of Taxis River, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant son, Martin Robert.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 4-6 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 6 pm with Pastor Chris Ryan officiating. Interment will take place in Parkers Ridge Cemetery on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11 am. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Parkers Ridge Cemetery or the charity of the donor’s choice.
