Obituary of Tony Knizat
Knizat, Tony – a resident of Ridgetown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 20, 2019, age 65. Born in Rosewood Manitoba to parents the late Emil Knizat and survived by his mother Ann (nee Spilak) of Ridgetown.
Father of Tammy Knizat (Steve) of Kentucky and Blenheim, and Stacey Knizat of Blenheim. Will also be missed by their mother Dianne Squire of Blenheim.
Brother Nancy and Larry Telford of Bobcaygeon, Lucy and Bill Willmore of Dover Centre, Margie Holmes and George Brown of Blenheim, and Fred Knizat and Melissa Sherman of Leamington.
Will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Tony worked at Eaton Yale, Oxford Automotive in Chatham and Wallaceburg, Simpson’s, for many local farmers and took care of his parents. He loved going out for his coffee many times a day where he met his many friends to socialize. He often went to the market in Chatham on Wednesday’s, helped friends and family with construction projects and farm work.
Visitation will be held on Sunday May 26, 2019 from 1-3pm. The Funeral Service for Tony will then follow at the Funeral Home at 3pm. Cremation to follow. Burial of cremated remains will be held in the St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in memory of Tony may be made to the Tim Horton’s Foundation Camps or War Amps. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com.
