BROOKS, Rose “Marie”
Marie Brooks died suddenly on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at her home in Loring. She was 87 years old. Marie was predeceased by her husband Ervin Brooks (1927-2004). She was the beloved mother of Veretta Robertson (Lavern) of Loring, Sandra Davis (Steve) of Port Loring, Margaret Reaume (the late Dennis) of Markham, Susan Williams of Burlington, Mervin Brooks (Roxie) of Loring, Chris Brooks (Christine) of Loring and Terri Lamb (Paul) of Commanda Lake. She will be lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Marie was predeceased by her sisters Esther Skinner and Hilda Yeates and by her brothers Art, Bill, Dick, Eric, Victor and Lester Howes. Marie and Ervin were the former long-time owners/operators of Brooks Cottages in Loring. The Brooks family will receive visitors at St. Andrew’s United Church, Port Loring on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and on Monday, June 3 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment Port Loring Cemetery. Should you wish to make a donation in Marie’s memory, St. Andrew’s United Church is suggested (cheques only please).
