August 28, 1949 – May 4, 2019
Passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on May 4, 2019 at the age of 69 years. Loving husband of Carmella (nee Gillis) for 42 years. Cherished father of Christina Forsyth and husband Jason. Brother of Maggie St. Denis. Reunited with parents Clifford (1958) and Yvonne Drouillard (2004) and brother Ronald (1994). Brother in law of Leo Gillis (Ann), Mary Sauve (Ed), the late Wayne Larose (1990), Russel Gillis (Bonnie 2004), Martin Gillis (Marg), Jane Gaudet (Pete), Theresa Gillard (Bram), Wally Gillis (Renee 2006), Al Gillis (Debbie), Daniel “Buzz” Gillis, Joe Gillis (Sherry), Dolena Cassidy (John), the late John Gillis 2015 (Rose), Josie Delaney, Claudia Reed (Chris 2003), Jerome Gillis (Lisa). Survived and loved by countless nieces and nephews. Missed by his four legged companion Zoe.
Romeo was a machinist for 39 years. He loved golf, travelling, camping, boating, and being with his family and friends. Above all, he cherished the moments he had with his wife and daughter. A special thank you to the staff, nurses, and doctor’s at WRH, Ouellette Campus for all of your compassion and support.
Visiting Wednesday 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral Service Celebrating Romeo’s Life will be on Thursday 11:30 am at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Cremation to follow. Share memories, photos or make a donation at www.FamiliesFirst.ca
