Philomena “Phyllis” Green, age 77, passed away peacefully, Friday May 3, in Whitby Ontario, surrounded by her immediate family. Born February 26, 1942 in Glasgow Scotland to Phillip and Catherine (Thornton) Callaghan. Beloved wife of William “Bill” for 55 years. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and sister Betty Rooney. She is the beloved sister of Tony (Margie), Phil, Pat and brother in law Hugh Rooney. Phyllis, a loving mother to pre-deceased Thomas, leaves behind Catherine (Gino) Siciliano, Clare (Brad) Belcourt and Billy (Sherri). Beloved grandmother of Ryan, Melissa, Brooklyn and Brianna. Phyllis leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends in Scotland, and Canada. Phyllis will always be remembered as a strong-willed woman with a passion for life and an immense love for her family. Funeral Mass will be held at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby, Ontario on Saturday May 11th, 2019 at 10:30 AM.
