With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Lynn (Patti) Edwards, 60, of Sydney Mines, on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at the Northside General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Patti was born December 23, 1958; the daughter of Jean Edwards and the late Clarence Edwards. She worked at McDonalds Restaurants in Sydney and North Sydney for almost 40 years, and made many close and dear friends; both colleagues and customers.
Patti was well known for her bubbly personality, her love for everyone and her attendance at community events throughout Cape Breton.
Patti is survived by her mother Jean, brother Bob (Norma), son Jason (Martina) and grandson Landon.
There will be a visitation at Jobes Funeral Home in Sydney Mines on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 3 Queen Street, Sydney Mines on Wednesday at 2 pm with Rev. Marion Barclay MacKay officiating. A reception will follow in the church.
A private interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patti’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
