Obituary of Norman Dickie Dillman
DILLMAN , Norman Dickie, age 81, Shubenacadie, passed away Sunday May 19, 2019 in Elk Court, Brookfield. Born in Wyse’s Corner, he was a son of the late Phyllis Miller (nee Norman) and Harvey Dillman.
Norman was a lifelong truck driver. He had an affection for antique cars. He loved his family; was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. Norman enjoyed meeting daily with his friends at the Stewiacke Tim Hortons.
He will be sadly missed by wife Rose, children James (Kelly), Kathy, Linda, Patti and Sarah, stepson Kevin (Amanda); 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brothers Ray (Jean) and Robert, numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by former wife Patricia,
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Ivan, sister Una and a brother and sister who died at a young age.
Cremation has taken place.
A service of remembrance will be held 6 pm Thursday May 23, 2019 in Ettinger Funeral Home, followed by a reception in the funeral home hospitality area.
Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Mill Village.
The family would like to thank the supportive staff of Elk Court for the amazing support given to both Norman and his family during his stay there.
Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to a charity of choice.
