Neolina Burlaka
Neonila Burlaka passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre on May 24, 2019.
Neonila is survived by her only daughter, Halyna (Bohdan). She had a long, eventful and sometimes difficult life, but now she is at her well earned rest. Neonila will be fondly remembered by her friends and relatives in Ukraine and in Canada, as well as by many friends of her daughter and son-in-law, who cherished her company, enjoyed her beautiful singing of Ukrainian folk songs, storytelling, gardening skills, and her good humour while visiting them, first, in Edmonton, and later on an acreage near Devon, AB.
The family is grateful to Neonila’s last rites priest, Reverend Father Dr. Roman I. Shiyan (UOCC, Lac La Biche Parochial District, Alberta). Caring and compassionate preparations for traditional services were arranged by Park Memorial Funeral Home, Edmonton.
Funeral services to be held, (date and time to be determined), at the All Saints of Ukraine Chapel with burial to follow at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery, both at 1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville, ON. Turner & Porter Funeral Directors.
