It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the passing of a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mary Blatkewicz, long time resident of Drayton Valley passed away at Drayton Valley Hospital Centre on the evening of Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the age of 82 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, John Blatkewicz; daughter, Joyann (Al) Crane; sons, Don (Natalie) Blatkewicz, Dale (Stacey) Blatkewicz and Lane (Erin) Blatkewicz; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, several extended family and many life-long friends. Mary is predeceased by her son, Ron Blatkewicz; sister, Phyllis Kelly and parents, Elmor and Florence Mercer. Mary’s life will be celebrated at the MacKenzie Conference Centre, 4745-45 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Dwayne Henley officiating. The Blatkewicz family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Drayton Valley Hospital for the exceptional care provided to Mary and her family during their time spent there.
