Marc’s Obituary
Marc, beloved husband of Tracy Melia (nee Boughton) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the age of 61 years.
Marc was born in Manchester, England on November 16, 1957 and moved to Canada in 1981. Marc married the love of his life, Tracy in 1983. Marc was an avid Manchester City football fan but most important to him were his family and friends. He will be most remembered for his sense of humor and his love for his family, friends, and colleagues. His signature “Cheers and thumbs up” will be greatly missed.
Besides his loving wife, Tracy Melia, Marc is survived by daughters, Danielle Allen of Victoria, BC and Kylie Hakes of Salmon Arm BC; grandchildren, Shaylynn Melia of Victoria, BC, Austin Allen of Victoria, BC, Edward Allen of Victoria, BC, Killian Hakes of Enderby, BC, Casey Hakes of Enderby, BC; brother, Michel Melia (Debbie Melia) of Derbyshire, England; sister-in-law, Annisa Rees (Brad Rees) of Hanna Alberta; nieces and nephews, Simon Bell, Samatha Melia, Ross Melia, Wendy Jewell, and Stephanie Melia, Kaley Rees, Dustin Rees, Dillon Rees, and loved by many more.
Marc was predeceased by his mother, Henriette Louise Nicholas and father, Brian Melia as well as his grandparents in England.
The family would like to thank the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel community, all the doctors, nurses and the palliative care team, as well as his wife Tracy and daughter Danielle that cared for him in is last few months of life.
