Linda Turner 2019

Linda Turner
June 11, 1962 – May 06, 2019

Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6th at the age of 56 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Predeceased by daughter Dana Jane Turner, Mother Evelyn Ridley (nee Shadlock), and Father Allen Ridley. Leaving to mourn is her husband Bruce Turner, her daughter and love of her life Sarah Turner (Simon Bonisteel), daughters Paula Turner and Leah Gauf (Darren), son Brendan Turner (Vicki), sisters Sherry Theoret (Rick) and Wendy Gallant (Ray), brother Glenn Ridley (Carolyn) and six grandchildren Ethan, Caiden, Garnett, Ayla, Wayland, and Everett, all of whom she dearly loved. Also mourned by a long list of family and friends, but in particular her childhood and lifelong friends Jane, Karen, Kim, and Nancy, and close friends Barb, Bernice, Carla, Gail, Heather, Pamela, Rebecca, and Trudy.
Linda had a zest for life and brought joy and humor to all around her. Her contagious smile and memorable laugh will be deeply missed. Linda loved nature, gardening, and crafts, was a prairie girl at heart, but thoroughly enjoyed Newfoundland and Labrador and called it home.
A special thanks to Dr. Dawn Armstrong whose balance of empathy and professionalism eased Linda’s difficult journey over the past two years, Paulette Doyle Community Health Nurse, and the staff at the Palliative Care Unit.
Wake and visitation will take place at Caul’s funeral home in Torbay on Thursday, May 9th from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, 7:00 – 9:00 PM, and Friday May 10th from 10:00 – 12:00 PM. Funeral will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 11th at the All Saints Anglican Church in Pouch Cove.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation (cancercarefoundation.ca/donate/).
