WILSON, Julie (nee Dugas) With her husband and children at her side, Julie passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on May 29, 2019 at the age of 42 after a valiant and strong battle.
Loving wife and best friend of Chris. Cherished mom of Taylor and Ethan who were her entire world. Beloved daughter of Denise and André Dugas and daughter-in-law of Terry and Shelley Wilson. Dear sister of Katherine (Adam McCormack) and sister-in-law of Jason and Jessica. Best auntie to Emily and Ava. Julie will be sadly missed but forever remembered by many aunts, uncles, extended family and close friends.
Julie was the best wife, mother, daughter and sister ever! There is nothing that was more important to her than her family. She was the rock of the family, the organizer of all things and the fixer of everything broken. She and Chris spent countless hours sitting along the sidelines of softball and lacrosse cheering and encouraging their favourite players and their teammates. Camping was a family tradition and that is where Julie found herself happiest; campfires, the trailer, time away with her favourite people. Julie also loved the sunshine and was able to see and travel the world. She long awaited their yearly trips with her toes in the sand, sun on her face and her friends and family right there alongside her. Some of her fondest memories include the many group trips that they took to almost every carribean destination, her wedding being one of those epic adventures.
The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to the team of nurses and caregivers at Hospice Wellington for the care and compassion given to the entire family in Julie’s final weeks. Your kindness will never be forgotten. If desired, in lieu of floral tributes, please consider making a donation in Julie’s memory to Hospice Wellington so they can continue to support and care for families in our community. A heartfelt thank you to Jacques, Monique and Gabrielle for always being there for us and to the countless friends and family that visited and brought meals to nourish and sustain the family during their toughest days.
Family and friends may visit at the Gilbert McIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Service to Celebrate Julie’s Beautiful Life will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. Cremation.
