Obituary of Jean McFadden
McFadden, Lois Jean (nee Robinson)
A resident of Village on the Ridge Nursing Home, Jean McFadden passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2019 in her 98th year.
Born in Camden Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry & Gladys (nee Moorhouse) Robinson.
Beloved wife of 75 beautiful years to Douglas McFadden.
Loving mother of David McFadden and his wife Peggy of Blenheim, Stanley McFadden and his wife Debby, and the late Dennis McFadden.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Shane, Melody, Danny, Leah, Jodie, Michele, Ryan, Leigh & Brandi, 13 great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.
Sister of the late Clarence (Margaret) Robinson.
Always remembered by nieces, Zandra & Susan Robinson of Dresden.
Survived by sister-in-law, Sara (the late Lyle) Paling, and brother-in-law, Max (Doreen) McFadden. Predeceased by brother-in-law, Lyle (Edna) McFadden, Garnet (Lois) McFadden, Morley (Muriel) McFadden, and sister-in-law, baby Jane McFadden.
Jean attended Dresden Highschool. She married Douglas McFadden in 1944, residing on a farm near Turnerville for 58 years before moving to Chatham and then later to Ridgetown. Her passions were oil painting and gardening. She enjoyed time at the cottage, but most of all she loved the time spent with her husband and family.
Family to receive friends on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 from 3:30 – 5:30 pm & 7:00 – 8:30 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Private Family Funeral Service for Jean will take place with Burial in Dresden Cemetery.
In memory of Jean, donations may be made to Gideon’s or to the Salvation Army.
